I just realized that my Saturday night involves me alternately yelling at the TV (thanks Wolverines), my students’ exams, or my cats.
I know how to keep it real, y’all.
- Parents: You can do anything you set your mind to.
- Teachers: You can be anything that you want to be.
- Mentors: Follow your dreams.
- Me: I want to be a cat lady.

- Me: Or, you know, I could accumulate a massive debt going to med school so I can work horrendous shifts for the rest of my life in an attempt to counter the debt cycle I have entered.
- Parents: That's the spirit.
- Teachers: You're an asset to your community.
- Mentors: You go girl.

If it ever comes down to you or my cat, I’m choosing my cat.
sometimes I want to abandon my human responsibilities and live the life of a domesticated cat

Got my cat a little stuffed toy filled with catnip today and have been watching her play with it rather than write my article. She’s so incredibly confused, she keeps looking up at me and meowing, “What is this you’ve given me lady? And why can’t I stop sniffing it?”

i’ve decided to get back into embroidery exclusively so i can embroider cats into all my sweaters
Is it bad that when I picture happiness currently I see this:
An empty house,
Me, sitting in a big comfy chair,
Under a down comforter,
A great quality book in hands,
Some nicely warmed chamomile tea beside me,
A kitty curled about my feet,
A large window,
Nothing but trees and gardens…
When you’re cat takes up over half you’re pillow but its pretty cute so you deal with it.
